He had a distinguished military career and an outstanding leadership record in his many years of community involvement in the province of Quebec, which was an ongoing continuation of the incredible legacy of his predecessors in the Stuart clan. \r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nHonourable Fellow of the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada, Honourable Lieutenant Colonel of the 78th Fraser Highlanders, and a Second World War veteran who served in the 1944 D-Day invasion of Europe, Okill&#39;s friendship and unflagging support for NCVA&#39;s work to improve veterans&#39; legislation will be missed. \r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"small-12\">August 28, 2019 \u2013 NCVA was saddened to learn of the passing of Gordon Bruce Okill Stuart on August 28, 2019, at the age of 98.
